Keira Keogh

Behaviour Consultant

Keira Keogh is a self-employed behaviour consultant based in Westport, County Mayo. She also holds monthly sessions with a limited amount of clients in Dublin.

A graduate of Applied Behaviour Analysis from Trinity College Dublin, she has over fourteen years of experience in the area of behaviour support. Her expertise is mainly in the field of Autism and other additional needs and she specialises in early intervention.

Keira also enjoys working with typically developing children who are struggling with sleeping, fussy eating, anxiety, or engaging in some challenging behaviour.

A lot of Keira’s work is doing one to one sessions and she usually sees her clients on a weekly basis. However she also holds seminars in schools, colleges, care groups and offers parent training or coaching.

Her sense of entrepreneurship was fostered from an early age in The Helm, the family’s thriving restaurant and pub business situated in the heart of Westport, Co Mayo where she can occasionally still be found helping out. Her motto in work is ‘Completing the Puzzle Together’.

Leadership & Voluntary Work

Keira is also a member of JCI (Junior Chamber International) which she joined in 2013. JCI is a leadership development organisation for young professionals, that empowers its members to achieve the SDGs ( United Nations sustainable development goals) through running community projects and developing leaders.

She currently serves as the Immediate Past President for JCI Ireland. In 2019, she was voted as one of the top three JCI National Presidents in the World. In 2018, as well as being Deputy National President, she also served on the JCI Europe board as an appointee to the Skills & Development Committee. She was National Director of Communications in 2017, where she coordinated the first ‘Comms Bootcamp’. In 2016 she was the National TOYP (ten outstanding young persons) coordinator, that saw the awards get unprecedented entries and national coverage. Three Irish nominees were in the top 20 and one in the final ten. She was 2015 Local President of the Mayo branch of the organisation, during which her theme for the year was ‘Accept the Challenge’. She has represented JCI Ireland in debating and her team were crowned World Debating Champions at the 2016 World Congress in Canada.
